Who we are
Silverdale is a rich historic neighbourhood in the District of Mission, BC, Canada, located about 40 km east of Vancouver on the east bank of the Stave River. Known for its historic Italian Canadian community, its economy was farming, fishing and logging based until the general suburbanization of Fraser Valley life in the 1960s and 1970s.
Silverdale is also notable as the site of Canada's first train robbery on Sept. 10, 1904, by Billy Miner, using the polite "Hands Up!”, bringing national attention to Mission. Our store was designed to reflect the nostalgia and history of Silverdale’s early days using Mission archive photos, railway ties, wine barrels, and wood beams. We are centrally located on Lougheed Hwy with ample parking, and we are 100% Canadian owned.
